Amendment 1: Freedom of Assembly
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Analysis:
A lot of people would ask, "Why is a law so important for making a club?" Well, if there wasn't a law protecting that right, then anyone with a higher authority could tell you that you couldn't create an organization. Also, when Congress came together to create the Bill of Rights, they figured that the people of the United States needed security for their rights of: speech, religion, press, and assembly; the rights that define the American identity.

Sheppard v. Maxwell (1966)
In this case, there was a physician named Sam Sheppard who was found guilty for murdering his pregnant wife. Sheppard accused the Court of not being able to protect him from the massive and widespread prejudiced publicity that had gone to his prosecution. He then had to be released from custody because all of the publicity surrounding his case had impeded upon his 6th amendment right to a fair trial.
For this reason, the Court started issuing gag orders on all cases where there would be predujuce to one party or another. According to First Amendment Schools.org, gag orders in a courtroom now prohibit any participants in a case from talking to the news media.

Impact on real life
Why would the right of forming a group be such a big deal? Well imagine if you really wanted to form a club to gossip about your least favorite instructor...and you couldn't because your (disliked) instructor says you can't, just because. You'd probably be very angry with him and maybe even bing him to court and try to get him fired. You see, this amendment allows you to create any organization without questions or limitations unless you interfere with another amendment.
The Bill of Rights ensures that you have all of the fundamental rights that everyone should have. If the U.S. didn't have the Bill of Rights, there would be people fighting about nonsense all the time.
